Our Review
In our view Kigali Serena Hotel is a great accommodation facility for visitors to Rwanda mainly because of its proximity to Kigali International Airport (15 minutes’ drive) and proximity to all the major centers like ATMs, convenience stores, restaurants and attractions in Kigali. You can take a 5 minute walk from the hotel and you will find yourself in Kigali city close to all the major centres. The hotel is an okay up market well run property and as much as it markets itself as a five star hotel, we think that it offers mid-luxury and not exceptional high end luxury.
You can however be assured of exceptional service and great amenities for a comfortable stay.We recommend it as a first night base for guests coming into Rwanda for safari as it makes pick up the next day easy for the driver guide because usually the next day our clients have to prepare for relatively long drives to the national parks and the hotel’s location is perfect for pick up.
