
Primate Lodge Kibale
Located a few minutes away from the main tracking point for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park, you find Primate Lodge Kibale. The lodge is set within the forest and is the only lodge located inside Kibale National Park. This makes it a perfect base while on safari as you can simply walk (3 minute walk) to Kanyanchu Visitor centre which is the main starting point and briefing area for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale.

Kibale National Park is one of the best places to track the chimpanzees in Uganda and in addition offers other activities that one can do inside and near the national Park.
13 primate species have been recorded in Kibale Forest with some of these species being endangered and listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as important species that should be conserved. The park is also a rewarding bird watching destination with the most sought after bird being the Green-Breasted Pitta, 375 species of birds have been recorded at the park.
Accommodation at Primate Lodge Kibale
The lodge features 10 luxury cottages. One of the cottages is a honeymoon suite with a living area, an outdoor fireplace, an indoor fire place, a bath tub overlooking the forest and an outdoor terrace. The honeymoon suite is larger in size compared to the other standard luxury cottages.
Each cottage at Primate Lodge Kibale features;

Facilities and Services
Restaurant – Primate Lodge Kibale features a restaurant at the main area overlooking the outdoor fire place. The on-site chefs prepare delicious meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner is served at the restaurant. The staff can also arrange and set up for breakfast on the outdoor terrace.
Bar – The lodge has a well-stocked bar with wines, spirits, gin and beer. The bar attendant is available throughout your stay and you can order a glass of wine, a glass of beer or a cocktail. The bar overlooks the outdoor terrace so it’s a great place to relax after a long day of activity.
Lounge – The lounge is situated right next to the main area and features comfortable sofas and chairs where you can sit and relax. There are books you can read here about wildlife and primates. Alternatively you can have a drink here while relaxing after your chimpanzee trek.
