Arusha Coffee Lodge – An Intimate Luxurious lodge in the heart of Arusha

Arusha town is the main starting point for most Tanzanian wildlife safaris and the Arusha Coffee Lodge makes for a perfect base as it is centrally located and easy to connect to Tanzania’s national parks from here.

Arusha town is one of Tanzania’s major cities and is located on the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley. The city is moderately busy with local businesses, shops, locals going about their day, malls and restaurants. Arusha is a great tourist base with visitors connecting from the town to other safari destinations like Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Lake Manyara National Park and Mount Kilimanjaro. The destinations offer visitors to Tanzania a number of activities that include game drives, crater drives, hiking, and chances to experience the famous Great Migration, a true African safari spectacle.
Accommodation at Arusha Coffee Lodge
The lodge features 30 stunningly furnished rooms with great space and quality room amenities, 12 of the rooms are suites and the rest are standard rooms. The rooms are built with brown bricks, feature earthy rustic colours and the interior decor is reminiscent of a historic colonial plantation house. Double, single and inter connecting rooms are available so it depends on what a guest at the lodge is interested in.
Each room at Arusha Coffee Lodge consists of;
A large four poster bed with clean white linen bed sheets, a duvet, a mosquito net, and plush pillows.
A spacious En-suite bathroom well stocked with bath essentials and featuring a shower, a flush toilet, clean towels, his & hers wash basins, and mirrors.

Facilities and Services
Swimming Pool – The lodge features an oval swimming pool tucked away in the trees and surrounded by green plants. The pool area is a great place to unwind and take a dive in the pool, there are sun loungers surrounding the swimming pool with pool staff attendants available in case you need anything. The swimming pool is rather small but can still make for a great place to cool off during your stay.
Dining – The lodge features an elegantly furnished dining room with warm lighting, comfortable seats, beautiful art frames hanging on the walls, beautiful small chandelier lights, a fire place and brick walls. This makes it extra cozy for dinners and other meals. Delicious food is served and expertly prepared by the on-site chefs who not only make delicious meals but also cater to any dietary requirements of their guests. Indoor and outdoor dining is available so the choice to sit inside or outside amidst the tropical gardens is all up to you. The lodge also has a bistro café where one can enjoy a variety of hot coffees and a chance to enjoy the rich coffee locally grown and produced in Tanzania.
Breakfast is usually buffet style but an a la carte menu is available for guests who would like to order off the menu, the buffet breakfast has a lot of tasty options with freshly baked house bread, a variety of fruits, juices, tea, coffee and eggs prepared according to your choice. Arusha Coffee Lodge has a daily buffet 4-course luncheon with great options as well and is served in the lodge’s lush gardens, we highly recommend the buffet luncheon as it has great fresh food, vegetarian options and great desserts. An a la carte menu is still available for lunch and dinner for guests who would prefer that.
Treatment Spa – Arusha Coffee Lodge features a treatment area that offers holistic therapies and rejuvenating Africology treatments. The spa is small and intimate with great body treatments and skilled therapists. You can decide to either do a facial or a massage, a massage is especially great after a long flight or after a great time of safari in Tanzania.
Lounge Area – With cozy arm chairs and large comfortable chairs, the lounge area at Arusha coffee lodge is perfect for relaxation and unwinding. You can choose to sit by the fire place, order a drink from the bar and simply relax amidst the tranquil coffee lodge.
Bar – The bar at the coffee lodge is fully stocked with world class premium alcoholic drinks and wines. The mixologists at the bar make amazing cocktails, the bar is also a great place to try out the local beer brands of Tanzania if you are up to it.
