Davido in Rwanda for the Giants of Africa Festival / Performing at BK Arena

Nigerian Singer who goes by the stage name Davido is in Kigali Rwanda for the Giants of Africa festival 2023 and will be performing at the closing concert on 19th August 2023 at the state of the art BK Arena in Rwanda.

Davido arrived and received a warm welcome to Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills. The American born Nigerian singer together with his team stopped by the BK Arena ahead of his performance where he was met and cheered on by some of his fans in Kigali. It was a heartfelt moment between the singer and his fans who shared moments of joy and together they sang one of his recent songs titled “Un available” featuring Musa Keys from his fourth studio album “Timeless”. Davido also had time on his arrival to talk to his fans and share how happy he is to see that something as influential as the Giants of Africa Festival is taking place on the African continent.

The Nigerian superstar Davido has over the years grown in his music career and elevated afro beats music to the world. The Nigerian singer has released music that has garnered him popularity as evidenced with the millions of views on YouTube, a growing social media, going on world tours and performing at famous world arenas and selling out shows. Davido recently performed at the 2023 BET Awards, an American award show by the Black Entertainment Television Network that uplifts and celebrates the presence and creative work of black entertainers and other talented creatives annually. The singer is well known for his ecstatic and vibrant stage performance that always leaves fans excited, dancing and wanting more. Davido’s birth name is David Adedeji Adeleke and the singer first started out as a sound engineer and used to make beats for other artists as well as write music for them. The Giants of Africa Festival 2023

Giants of Africa is a charitable organization founded 20 years ago with the main objective of educating and empowering African youth through basketball. The Giants of Africa festival which has been running in Kigali Rwanda for a week from 13th to 19th August is a celebration of African youth and a continuation of encouraging African youth across the continent to dream big and make the world their oyster.

It has been an action packed week in Rwanda with performances from renowned music artists in Africa like Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz, basketball tournaments, opening ceremony that had His Excellency President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda as the guest of honor and active engagements by Masai Ujiri the founder of Giants of Africa who is an NBA champion and the Toronto Raptors vice chairman and president.

In conclusion the closing concert at the BK Arena in Kigali city is set to be a fun filled event graced by Davido alongside Tiwa savage who is a Nigerian singer and songwriter, Bruce Melodie a Rwandan artist and songwriter and South African singer Tyla.
