Your safari then continues to Lake Nakuru national park famously known for Lake Nakuru which is a soda lake that attracts thousands of flamingos and the safari ends with Maasai Mara game reserve which is Kenya’s most popular tourism destination in Kenya.

Your safari begins today as your driver guide will pick you up from your preferred hotel or location in Nairobi early in the morning. After introductions you start the journey to Aberdara national park. Aberdare national park is a protected area located 100km north of Nairobi and has a large Eco system that consists of v shaped valleys, streams, rivers, bamboo forests, moorland, rain forests, waterfalls and mountain peaks that are as high as 4000 meters. On arrival at the park you head to the lodge check in and then go on an afternoon game drive. Wildlife to look out for while on the game drive include Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cape buffaloes, eastern black rhinoceros, water bucks, bush buck, eland and other animals. You check out of the lodge today after an early breakfast and head out for a short morning game drive in the park for one last encounter of wildlife in Aberdare national park. After the game drive we head to Samburu national reserve. On arrival check into the lodge and go on a late afternoon game drive in the national reserve. Retire to the lodge after the game drive for dinner. Journey time: 4 hours Accommodation: Sasaab Samburu (Luxury), Ashnil Samburu Camp (Mid-range) Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast we head out for a morning game drive in Samburu which offers excellent game viewing and is mainly known for its rare northern plains game species that include the Grey’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Gerenuk and reticulated giraffe. Other wildlife in the reserve include cape buffaloes, lions, cheetah, elephants, African leopard, impalas, waterbucks, hippopotamus, Grant’s gazelles, Kirk’s dik-dik and the recently introduced black rhinoceros. After the morning drive we head to the lodge for lunch and relax at the lodge. In the late afternoon you will head out for an evening game drive for more wildlife encounters in Samburu national reserve and then end the day with incredible sunset views across the reserve. After breakfast you will check out of the lodge and we then head out for a morning game drive. After the game drive we depart for Nakuru national park with a stopover for lunch along the way. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and landscape of Kenya along the way. On arrival check in to the lodge and head out for an evening game drive in Lake Nakuru national park. Journey time: 5 hours Accommodation: Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge (Luxury), Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge (Mid-range) Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast you check out and then head out for a morning game drive. Wildlife to look out for include the Rothschild’s giraffe, lions, cheetahs, leopards, cape buffaloes, hippos, eland, waterbuck, zebras, warthogs, wildebeest, the recently introduced eastern black rhinos and southern white rhinos and on rare occasions the wild dog may be sighted in the park. The park is also home to primates such as black-and-white colubus monkeys, vervet monkeys and olive baboons. Lake Nakuru hosts a variety of bird life and more than 500 species have been recorded including the well-known lesser and greater flamingos, pied kingfishers, African fish eagles, Goliath heron, hamerkop, Verreaux’s eagle, Great white pelican, Greater blue-eared starling etc. After the game drive we begin the journey to Maasai Mara Game reserve. After a hearty breakfast today you will head in to the Maasai Mara for a morning game drive. The Maasai Mara is well known for the big cats that are best seen while on a game drive. Wildlife to look out for include Lions, Cheetah, African Leopard, wildebeest, Grant’s zebras, elephants, cape buffaloes, Maasai Giraffes, jackals, servals, spotted hyenas. Several antelope species can be seen in the reserve including Grant’s gazelles, Coke’s Hartebeests, Thomson’s gazelles, duikers, impalas, and roan antelope. The Mara and Talek rivers are the best places to see the crocodiles and large groups of hippos. After lunch you head out for an afternoon game drive for more wildlife encounters.
