This 4 days fly in safari to Kidepo Valley National Park takes you to north-eastern Uganda for an experience of a classic African safari in Uganda. Kidepo Valley National Park boasts of rugged mountain scenery, savanna landscape and offers excellent game viewing while in the park.
The drive to Kidepo Valley National Park is about 10 hours making it a tiresome journey however on this fly in safari you will only take 2 hours to get to the park. We book a on a scheduled flight from Entebbe International Airport to the park,the scenic flight offers you stunning aerial views of Uganda with the highlight being the River Nile cutting across Murchison Falls National Park.

Tour Plan
Today you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Kidepo Valley National Park. The flight is scenic as you will be treated to stunning aerial views of Uganda.
On arrival at the airstrip you will be met and welcomed by your driver who will then take you to your lodge. You check in to the lodge and have lunch thereafter.
In the afternoon you will go on an introductory game drive in the park where you look out for animals such as African Buffalo, Elephants, Zebras and bird species. After the game drive you return to the lodge for dinner.
Optional Activity: Night game drive where you look out for nocturnal animals especially cats like Lions, Cheetah, Leopard, Jackals and Hyena.

After breakfast at the lodge you will head in to the park for full day game drives. You will start with a game drive in the Narus Valley which hosts a variety of wildlife in Kidepo. Common animals to look out for include Elephants, Lions, large herds of Buffaloes, Zebras, Leopard, Cheetah, Side-stripped jackals, Rothschild's Giraffes, Hyenas, Jackson's hartebeest, Oribi, Uganda Kobs, Klipspringer, Eland etc.
After that you transfer to Kidepo Valley for another game drive in this section of the park. The kidepo Valley has fewer animals but offers stunning views of the rugged landscape of the park, Kanangorok hot springs and you will also look out for ostriches while here. Your day ends with transfer back to the lodge after a fulfilling day of game drives.

Today morning you will go for a guided nature walk in the park. The walking safari offers you amazing views of Kidepo landscape and you experience the wildlife of Kidepo on foot. You leave for the nature walk at 7am guided by your ranger guides.
You will return to the lodge have lunch and then visit the Karamojong people in the afternoon. This cultural tour will take you in to the community of the karamojong and give you a look in to their culture, traditions and way of life. You will visit their “manyattas” which are their local homesteads and you will engage in their traditional dances. The Karamojong are cattle keepers so you will visit their kraals while on the tour.
Optional Activity: Hike to Mount Morungole to visit the IK tribe

You will end your safari today as you fly back to Entebbe airport in the afternoon.
