Overview
Murchison falls National Park is a prime destination for wildlife safari experiences in Uganda; this 2 day tour offers you an opportunity to see the animals in this park. The park is famously known for the mighty Murchison waterfalls and is the largest national park in Uganda.
While on this safari you will go on a game drive as you look out for wildlife that include lions, leopard, buffaloes, elephants and giraffes among others. You will also go on a boat safari on River Nile and then hike to the top of the falls for an experience of these thunderous waterfalls.

Tour Plan
Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning from your hotel in Kampala. You then start the journey to Murchison falls national park with a stopover in Masindi town for lunch. You will arrive in the park and head straight for the boat ride on River Nile at 2:00pm, the boat ride is a relaxing way to spend the afternoon as you look you for animals like elephants, hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and water bird species. The animals usually come to drink water and quench their thirst.
The boat ride will continue to just close to the bottom of the waterfalls and here you will get off the boat and start your hike to the top of the falls. At the top you will be treated to the spectacular view of the Nile as it forces itself through a narrow 8m gorge splashing 43 meters down with a thunderous roar. While here you will be able to take great photos and after that your driver guide who will be waiting for you at the top of the falls to transfer you back to the lodge for overnight.

ou will leave the lodge as early as 6am for the morning game drive. The game drives are carried out in the northern part of Murchison falls national park where a variety of animals can be found strolling and feeding in the park. Animals to look out for include elephants, giraffes, warthogs, lion, hyenas and several antelopes. There is also a chance of sighting the leopard however this is not promised. The game drive offers an opportunity to look out for bird species that are resident in Murchison falls national park.
After the game drive you will start the journey back to Kampala.
