4 Days Uganda Gorillas and Golden Monkey Trekking Safari
This 4 days safari offers you the ultimate adventure in Uganda as it will take you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park for the gorilla trekking adventure and to Mgahinga gorilla national park for golden monkey trekking. Mountain gorilla trekking is a rewarding experience that brings you close to these endangered species and Bwindi national park is home to half of the world’s population of gorillas with almost 459 individuals. Mgahinga gorilla national park is Uganda’s smallest park and the only place to trek the golden monkeys in Uganda so this safari will combine these two parks giving you a great Uganda safari experience.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala and then start the journey to Bwindi national park or Mgahinga gorilla with your driver guide. You will have a stopover at the Uganda equator monument for great photo moments at the monument.
On arrival at the lodge you will check in and have dinner.
Journey time: 8 hours
Accommodation Options: Mt.Gahinga Lodge (Luxury), Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range) or Rushaga Gorilla Camp (Budget)

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
On this day you will have an early morning breakfast get a packed lunch from the lodge and your driver guide will then transfer you to the park headquarters. Here you will receive briefing from your ranger guide after which you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek. You then start the trek in to the forest, once you locate the mountain gorillas you are allowed to spend one hour with the endangered species taking photos and watching how they behave in their natural habitat. After this you start the trek back to the starting point.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
You will transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park after your breakfast at the lodge. Your main activity for the day is the golden monkey trek, on arrival at the park you will meet your ranger guides and receive a briefing. After the briefing you start the trek to meet these active golden monkeys. You will spend one hour with the golden monkeys after locating them and have an opportunity to watch them feed on bamboo shoots, hop around the forest as they are very active and also capture great photos of these amazing unique monkeys. After the golden monkey trek you head back to the lodge with your driver guide and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Travel back to Kampala
Today marks the end your safari as you travel back to Kampala or Entebbe depending on the location of your hotel.
