Detailed Itinerary of Kigali City Tour
The tour starts with pick up from your hotel in Kigali by your driver guide. Since it is a day trip we advise that you prepare for an early pickup from your hotel. After brief introductions with your guide you start the Kigali city tour.
You will visit the Kandt museum of Natural History where the site guide will take you through the history of Rwanda and her inhabitants. You also visit the Kigali Genocide memorial centre, a monumental site in Rwanda as it documents in details the Kigali genocide. After this your driver guide drives you to the Nyamirambo women’s centre that is set in a historic neighbourhood. The women at Nyamirambo women’s centre make beautiful handicrafts and the centre was a started by a group of Rwandese women with the goal to address gender-based violence and inequality. Time spent at the centre is not only rewarding but is a great avenue to spend time with the women as you listen to their stories. Other sites to visit include the Ivuuka Arts studio, Karisoke Gorilla centre and the presidential palace museum. Lunch will be at a restaurant in Kigali city.
